Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans
If you haven’t read it yet, put it on your Christmas list immediately! Or, if you need a gift for a fellow motorsports enthusiast or Oppo- I’m looking at you, Secret Senna folks -get them a copy. I definitely recommend the audiobook version on Audible, very well narrated.
What automotive book should I read (i.e. listen to) next, Oppo?

If you are also interested in the business side of things Once Upon a Car (Big three and UAW) and American Icon (Ford) are both very good books.

Very interested in the business side, as I’m making my career in the auto industry. Thanks for the suggestions!

A book which has been vetted. Nice, time to add onto Kindle.

Yup, both spend a lot of time talking about weathering the economic collapse of 08. The guy that wrote Once Upon a Car also wrote one on failure of the Daimler/Chrysler merger, but I havent gotten around to reading that one.

Good book. If you like that, check out Icons and Idiots by Bob Lutz.

Nice, I have that one sitting on my shelf next in line. I read From the Cockpit by Bruce McLaren recently and really enjoyed the history behind it. I set up an eBay email alert for it, since its becoming hard to find and I didnt want to pay $$$, only $$.

Except the hardcovers are expensive as hell. I managed to find one for relatively cheap and it ended up being shipped to me from Europe!

Audible is where it’s at. I listened to most of it while I was driving to and from work.
